A Big thank you to Mark & Lynda for being your own f-ing funny self on your pod cast ! You two sound so good together,I love the way you are with each other! So funny! It’s so good to hear Lynda’s voice after hearing you on the phone with M& B on KLOS so many years ago! Your f- bombs just crack me up ! I can’t get enough of them! Thank you. One Christmas a couple of years ago I was thinking how cool it was listing to the M & B Christmas shows back in the day.and if they had anything of there’s on U Tube?! Hello!!!!! I found you! Where I also found the Mark & Lynda pod cast that I totally look forward to and love love love hearing you two!!!!!!!It feels Like seeing a great old friend that I haven’t seen in years! So cool!!!! And another thank you for giving a 25year old driving a corona beer truck in Orange County something to look forward to each day by listing to the Manley man show on my head phones because my truck didn’t have a radio. I never took them off and never missed a beat . I had the big ass plastic cup that said KLOS MARK & BRIAN on it! I would wake up to you guys doing miniature theater and would drift off and find myself dreaming that I was in the skit only to wake up and think wait? what just happened ?lol! it happened a couple of times!moved to San Francisco in 1994 wishing that I had taped your shows.Missing the show badly.would only get to listen when I would work in Sacramento for the day.
Really Loved the hard cover!!!! so good !!!!and BOOK💈MARK!! Can’t remember the last time I read a full book that fast. Ya never! Seeing all the names , Chuck, Rita,Todd, Sky lord, the lucky butt, security guard Roger,nurse Susan ,Preva. Brought it all back! Fucking thank you!!!

A way to make it a little bit easier before you and Lynda drift off to the grand baby sunset would be If you could make a way to sell your Mark and Lynda best of ? I finished the audiobook and I am beside myself with pride, joy, sorrow and enthusiasm for your journey. You kept me glued to the page. You described each adventure perfectly and you brought tears to my hearty eyes as you came to clear realizations of success and defeat.
I truly enjoyed listening to this adventure (twice…once in real life and once in your story).

Just wanted to say hi, I got the soft cover copy of your book and I’m loving it. I listened to Mark and Brian on KGON in Portland for years, and still miss hearing you guys on there. I just found the podcast, and heard where that might be ending now, of COURSE I don’t find it until the end 🙁 Same with Brian, he had a podcast but by the time I found out about it, it was done.
I hope things are going well, thanks for writing this book. ETA I have now finished the book and just watched your film Mother Ghost. I’m crying over that one, it was so good. Excellent work.

Ok, I finished reading your book and I LOVED IT!!!
Went to the Christmas Party the year Barry Manalow performed, saw you at the Forum when you had the “Lucky Butt” rub his butt on the ice and was at a few other events.
I remember the time you had David Gates from BREAD on the show and you had NONE of his music. I called the station and offered to drop off my cassette of “Best of Bread” for you to use. I was on my way to work when I dropped it off. When I picked it up after work, I was given a copy of his latest music. So excited to have helped you guys out.
After reading the book my heart broke for you and all your show went through with Howard Stern. I must have been oblivious, or you just hid what was going on really well. I hate him by the way!!
I had a lot of DeJa’Vu moments reading the book, stuff I completely forgot about.
I’m sending your book now to my brother to read, he was a huge fan too.
So, thanks for the memories of a wonderful time in my life. So happy to hear Linda finally got some grand babies!!

Just finished reading your book last night. I really enjoyed it and it was nice walk down memory lane since I was a listener in the early years. I went to a listener event in 1991 and still have the autographed pants my baby was wearing that you guys signed.

Ok so I got your book on December 11 and finished today December 20th.. for me that’s amazing considering I haven’t read a book in its entirety in almost 15 years!

As a listener we just enjoyed the show and could not have known the struggles you had with anxiety . We know as my daughter has it and it is a battle.
You didn’t mention one of my favorite memories when the guy called to confess that he put his own turd in his girlfriends cat box and she spent hundreds of dollars in vet bills to see what was wrong with her cat!.. Classic
And the sounds a dog makes when he is eating!
Thank you for making my drive to work tolerable and making me laugh first thing in the morning for over 25 years!
There will never be another Mark and Brian .
I won’t say you guys were perfect and I’m sure you meant to put the typo near the end of your book when you were talking about not being perfect (page 249 .perfect “oesn’t“ exist) But you did that on purpose I’m sure.

I was graced with 4 books in Lake Havasu City because the post office zip tied them together . My husband said score. I thought of all those listeners in my neighborhood that would be debated. I took them back to the post office. Moral of the story; Don’t listen to your husband.

Hello Mark and Linda. I was a long time listener and huge fan of the show. You guys helped my wife tell me she was pregnant with our son, he’s 30 now and she has passed away. You guys got me thru hard times and made me laugh every day. I was lucky enough to get Christmas show tickets one year. I just ordered the audio and soft cover book and can’t wait to listen and read them. Take care and thank you for everything your doing for the puppies and kittens. Love and miss you guys. Longtime listener here. Loved the book! Laughed til I cried in spots (especially Polo Lounge). You guys unknowingly enabled me to meet one of my childhood heroes. I saw Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods open for the Osmonds when I was 12 and began following them too. After you had Bo Donaldson at one of your events, Bo decided he missed playing and wanted to form a country band. My husband was the drummer for that band so I got to know Bo. Eventually, Bo reformed the Heywoods and they still play occasionally. He said you were very welcoming and nice. Hooty Hoo! Love you!

Stupid listener Sean here. I had posted on TikTok that I had bought 2 books, one for me and the other for my stoopid brother…who went and bought his own book. So, I guess I need to find out how to return the book so that another stupid listener who wasn’t able to get the hardcover can grab it up.

I got my book, signed by Mall, lol. I realized I need the audio version as well so I went back and just bought that too. I decided to go with the audio book just to hear one of the voices that brought so much love, laughter and craziness to my life in the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s etc. I will probably buy the hard cover too so I can see the pictures. I received my hardcover book and look forward to reading it. I am disappointed it wasn’t signed as that’s why I got the hardcover. I did get a book mark, so there’s that. ha ha Any way to get it signed or get a copy signed sheet ? By the way, I was the guy who sang for Styx tix and got to sing on stage with Styx and REO after singing Renegade. Good times. Thanks and hooty hoo.

I was a huge fan of Mark and Brian when I lived in Southern California and was truly sad when the show finally ended.
My brother in law is an even huger fan and the book has come out just in time for Christmas/birthday presents. However, it seems the hardcover is already sold out! Congratulations! I’ll be getting the paperback for him instead, unless you think the publisher will be doing another printing before mid January.
Also, since the audio book is in the form of an app–and it’s a present (he definitely will want to hear Mark and Brian clips, thank you for that) how could we facilitate that?
